Some trivia: 

-Olivia was originally going to be 23 but the idea was scrapped to make her closer to Walter’s age. 

-Olivia was going to be Half-French instead of Half-Hungarian, but her Korean heritage remained. 

-Olivia’s character is based off Lady Amalthea, John Wick, Cloud Strife, and Lenalee Lee. 

-Olivia’s weapon was originally going to be a Kyoketsu-Shoge Knife, like the one used in the movie “Ninja Assassin” but was changed to a bow to add a distance range fighter into the Hellsing mix. 

-Olivia was originally going to lose one of her legs during “The Dawn” sequence but the extent of the injury was minimized and changed to her arm becoming discolored. 

-In the original draft, Olivia and Alucard made a promise that if he helps her avenge her family, she will end his life for him. 

-Also, in the original draft, Olivia never fell in love with Alucard and never pursued any relationships. However, Walter still had a crush on her.

-Originally, Martha was didn’t die by a hitman but by Olivia who was possessed by a vampire. Olivia stabs herself in the chest to sever the spell and goes on a killing spree of the vampires. This idea was scrapped when Martha and Arthur got engaged.

-The possibility of Olivia and Alucard as a couple only came about after Chapter 15, but the actual acknowledgement of their mutual feelings didn’t occur until Chapter 33. Story-wise, that is about a five year gap. 

-Olivia and Alucard never had a proper confession chapter. However, if we were to get technical, Alucard was the first one to confess he was in love with Olivia (Chapter 33). Olivia had stated she loves Alucard before, but it was more familial/platonic. She starts to fall in love with him after Chapter 17 but her feelings are pushed to the back burner due to the war and Martha’s death. 

-The idea of Olivia traveling with child Alucard initially started as a reconnaissance mission prior to “The Dawn” where Olivia attends a government ball with Alucard as her butler. However, he decided to masquerade as a baby instead and Olivia had to carry him around while gathering information and even used him as a boomerang when her cover was blown. The idea was scrapped in favor of introducing Princess Elizabeth but the concept of Alucard as a child traveling with Olivia remained and became the current arc. 

-The part in Chapter 26 where Olivia sings “Ave Maria” in the church originally was part of the plot line where Olivia slaughters the vampire cult for possessing her body. She walks through their hideout out, singing it, while killing vampires left and right before reaching the head vampire and ripping its heart out of its chest. 

-Olivia is actually good friends with Sir Islands, and an upcoming chapter revolves around them finding *insert spoiler here*

-In Chapter 36, Olivia was supposed to have her hair shot off by Richard, but the act of Olivia slicing her own hair off fit the theme of the chapter better. Besides, the bullets never would have reached her because of Alucard. 

-Martha was the only person who knew about Walter’s feelings for Olivia. 

-Olivia has given names to “Girlycard” and Alucard’s younger form since they are her ‘daughter and son’. These names will appear in the upcoming chapters. 

-Olivia makes most of the moves in her relationship with Alucard.

-Olivia’s favorite feature about Alucard are his eyes; Alucard’s favorite features about Olivia are her heartbeat and hair (short or long). 

-The only reason Alucard remained in his child form while he and Olivia were alone was because he enjoyed being held by her. 

-Even if Walter was the same age as Olivia, she never would have looked at him as anything else but a brother and her dearest friend. This stems from the fact that they grew up together, and Olivia’s longing to have a sibling again. 

-In the original draft of Chapter 39, Olivia wasn’t consumed by her nightmares but was spirited away to Heaven where she could see her family again and sing a song with her father. This didn’t match the flow from Chapter 38 and was scrapped.

-Sir Hellsing has predicted his own demise at least twice in the fanfic thus far.

-Olivia has not sung at all since Martha’s death. (That is four years storywise). 

-Walter will eventually see the bite mark on Olivia’s chest from Chapter 28.

-Olivia is actually a pretty decent cook and housekeeper but the estate is used to Walter’s immaculate skills, so her skills are considered inferior. 

-In the first commission art of Olivia and Walter, Olivia is noticeably shorter than Walter despite her being 16 and him 14. Her height was changed to better represent their dynamic and she is now the same height as him. 

-Out of Olivia, Walter, and Arthur, only Olivia knows what it is like to care for a baby since she had two younger brothers. This knowledge will be beneficial when Integra is born. 

-Integra is born in 1977, meaning Olivia will be 49 and Walter will be 47 then. Arthur will be 65. 

-Olivia was originally supposed to adopt a Shiba dog named Maxwell, a pig named Oswald, and an albino owl named Martel. If you search in the earlier posts on this blog, you will see some photos of them.
